We grant different kinds of scholarships and loans. You should be familiar with the different types of Financial Support in order to determine which type of funding is right for you and your situation.
You should start organizing the documents needed for your scholarship or loan application at least one month before the deadline. This makes the process easier both for you and for us. You should enter the deadlines in your calendar.

Deadline
You can submit the form at any time. Hardship loans can be reapplied for every six months. Applications are processed within 6 to 8 working days. The maximum amount per application is CHF 6,000.

After the form has been submitted electronically, print it out and sign it.
Submit the form together with the required documents (see application form) by email or mail it to the Student Financial Aid Office. You can also toss it into the mailbox of the Student Financial Aid Office.

The date of the postmark is considered to be the date of submission. The application is considered to have been submitted once we have received your application documents and online form, both electronically and on paper.

Deadline
An application can be submitted at any time. Applications are processed within 6 to 8 working days. You can obtain an amount between CHF 1,000 and CHF 4,000.

Submit the online form together with the required documents (see application form) by email or post. You can also toss it into the mailbox of the Student Financial Aid Office.
Important note: «Pecunia» one-time loans can only be applied for once over the entire course of your studies at UZH. We recommend long-term financial planning for this reason.
